SEEDS FOR HARVESTING 7-35
COL 4:2
"Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind
and a thankful heart."
This week I would share with you
how I pray each morning
and I do write this with humility
and not because I have all the answers.
One morning, I felt it wrong
that I begin with pestering God for help.
So I have composed prayers that I begin with,
I call them ‘My First Morning Prayers to my God"
and they are full of praise, thanksgiving and adoration
to the Triune God.
I believe our morning prayers should be personal
and not sweep the world with it's woes.
I also believe that Jesus and the Holy Spirit
know better than I do what are the needs of those I pray for,
and so most of my prayers are by name only.
They come from my heart for my family.
Each one: children, grandchildren
and great grand children are named one-by-one.
Then I return to pray for any family members
with particular needs.
Then Woodbridge our spiritual home, the ACC
and all those who read the SFH.
Then others, and it's a joy
to be prompted by the Spirit
who reminds me of those that I have missed.
All this praying is overlaid
with God's love for me and my love for others.
