SEEDS FOR HARVESTING 4/43

Col 2:10
"And you have been given fullness in Christ."

Our sense of belonging is real
because we have been given "fullness in Christ."
Also the joy of the Lord is found in what "you have been given,"
and not in what you have achieved or received.
The Word says through Paul
"All things work together
for good to those who are called according to His purposes."
To experience this promise we must turn "His purposes"
into our achieving.

What we receive is "fullness in Christ."
At times Jesus must hold back from us
His "fullness,"
because we are not quite ready for it.

Are we like children and comfortable with milk
when all the time we need meat?
Milk flows smoothly and easily down our throats.
In contrast, we must work hard at digesting meat.

What a joy it is to know
that "All the fullness in Christ"
is always available to us,
and that this is a gift from God
that "you have been given"
It is readily available to us,
but it will come first as milk and then as meat.
The Word speaks through Paul
"We have been baptised into Jesus Christ...
so let us walk in newness of life."
