Psalm 103:14
“For He Himself knows our frame
He is mindful that we are but dust.”

One of the tasks of the Holy Spirit
is to continually remind us
that God is easy to live with.

He ”knows our frame”.
He is the One who has created us so wonderfully
and knows us through and through.
A frightening thought for those who live
without the forgiveness of Jesus.

For we who believe that “He is mindful.”
our response can only be
“Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and all that is within me bless His holy name.”
These feelings come, not from a reasoning mind,
but from an over-joyful heart.

How penetrating are the words “For He Himself.”
God does not delegate the task of His communication with us.
How very difficult it is for our reasoning mind to believe
that God is Himself personally interested in me.
How much more personal can God get
than when we read these words of Jesus
“You are My friend”?

Our Father disciplines us,
but His discipline becomes life-changing
when we know it is because He loves us
and “He knows our frame.”
and “He is mindful that we are but dust”.
or as a later translation says
“Knows our weakness.”
