SEEDS FOR HARVESTING 5/21
1 Thess. 3:3
"The Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen
and protect you from the evil one."
For those of us who believe that "the Lord is faithful."
these are powerful and comforting words
This is not a question for debate,
but a statement of fact.
If God is not "faithful" then the universe would fall apart.
It is through our conviction of faith
that we can say "Amen" to
"He will strengthen" us,
not only physically
but through our hearts and minds within,
so that we can more effectively be
His light in this world.
He does not then leave us to "fight the good fight" alone.
He "protects" us "from the evil one."
This is not the Lord coming to our rescue
but He becomes our protector.
He is pro-active in protecting us.
He also expects us to be fully prepared
to withstand the fiery darts of the "evil one."
It is wonderful how the Living Word
helps us to see the bigger picture.
We then can feel
His all-encompassing love and care for us
beyond our immediate needs.
So we become a part of God's plan
living within us.
