SEEDS FOR HARVESTING 7-3

Eph 1:18
"I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light
so that you can understand the wonderful future He has promised to those He called"

How many millions of Christians have read and been blessed,
through this prayer of Paul, in the past two thousand years?

In verse 17 Paul's prayer is for
"God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
to give you spiritual wisdom and insight."
In this next verse he guides us in how to achieve this.

We must not only read the Word with our eyes,
but also allow our hearts to be
"flooded with light" through that reading.

It is in our hearts that we can "understand".
It is through our hearts, flooded with that "light,"
that we can "understand the wonderful future"
which is promised to us.

Always we remember that this special gift is from God.
"He has promised to those He called".
We should allow it to live with us day by day,
so that our hearts are "flooded with light",
then our minds "understand."
All this happens when we accept
"the wonderful future He has promise to those He called".
It is with thanksgiving, praise, joy and love
that we meditate on this prayer.

Through our faith, grows our hope.
Hebrews reminds us that
"Faith is the confidence
that what we hope for will actually happen."
