SEEDS FOR HARVESTING 5 /14

 

Psalm 23:2
"He makes me to lie down in green pastures."

Life demands service of us.
We must serve to support our lifestyle.
We never come to the end of our doing
Even when it appears that we have done.
So it will continue until we ultimately die.

God offers us "green pastures" and "still waters."
More than that
"He makes me lie down..."
when I am with Him.
So often we can not, or do not,
hear Him because
our ears are attuned to the demands of living.

Before Jesus fed the 5000
He "commanded them to sit down."
I wonder how many returned to that lakeshore site
So that it could become,
"Green pastures" for them?

My friends, we must have times of refreshing in our lives.
Otherwise we walk unconscious of His presence
in our minds and hearts.
Jesus says to us
"Come to Me
all you who are weary and heavily laden
and I will give you rest."
