SEEDS FOR HARVESTING 7-27

Matthew 6: 21
"Where your treasure is
there your heart will be also."

Too often the word "treasure"
is associated with money.
But I like to believe that Jesus was
teaching us something different.

Over the years I have begun what I like to call
a reservoir of faith.
Into this I have recorded my "faith treasures."
There I have put statements
that I believe in
with my whole heart, mind, soul and strength
and nothing, nor anybody
can ever change them.
Such as, Jesus actually calls me his friend
and Jesus says to me
that I will never be snatched out of his hand,
and many more.
All treasures of faith must
come from the words Jesus
spoke to us personally.
These are our safe barriers against all of Satan's efforts.

I believe that our faith is our treasure
and our faith grows out of Jesus' call to us
through the Spirit of Truth,
and these must be stored in our hearts.

These are far more important
than anything the Church or mankind teaches us.
These set us free as Jesus promised.
"The truth shall set you free."
