SEEDS FOR HARVESTING 8-3

Phil 4:19
"My God shall supply all your needs according to
his riches in Christ Jesus".

Paul here is writing to the churches
at Philippi and beyond.
But because these words
come from the living Word of God
they are speaking to us also.

We must continually remind ourselves
that God is always willing to supply
"all your needs",
and the emphasis is on "all."

We cannot plumb the depth of "His riches,"
so we have no way of evaluating them,
or even knowing what they are.
All we can do is to accept them
with thanksgiving.

Also 'his riches' are 'in Christ Jesus.'
Have you heard the saying
" your money will burn a hole in your pocket"?
Well, this won't happen with 'his riches'
because they are not ours to possess.
They belong to God 'in Christ Jesus.'

One of the most thrilling experiences for us
is to receive a gift
and be conscious that it
was God-given in Jesus
