Psalm 119: 99
"Revive me according to your loving kindness
so that I may keep the testimonies of Your mouth."
First thing every morning is God's time of revival for us.
Each day is a new day if we begin with God.
He reaches out and touches us
through His reviving power.
This comes through His "loving kindness".
What a way to begin each new day.
We must be continually reminded that
all this is not just for our physical needs
but so that we can
"keep the testimony of Your (God's) mouth".
God has spoken and we can be sensitive to His testimony
God's expressed Word
does not just disappear
into the dimensions of time or space.
It is always available for His people
and He never changes it.
It is always relevant in each age and time.
That is why "the testimony of Your mouth"
always revives us.
God's Word is eternal and at the same time living.
It never needs to be renewed, or revived,
or brought up to date
because it is always the Living Word.
It is living because the Holy Spirit is the revealer
and His revelation is always up to date.
Jesus says heaven and earth shall pass away
but My Word shall never pass away."
