SEEDS FOR HARVESTING 5/36

Rom 15:13
"The God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit."

What wonderful words these are
"the God of hope."
Always we are in need of hope.
Not the limitedness of our human hope,
for things that cannot come to fruition,
but Godly hope, unlimited hope, eternal hope.

Then comes "joy and peace." through our "believing".
"Joy and peace" are Jesus' gifts to us.
His gifts to us shall mean nothing
unless we are "believing."

Then comes the further promise,
"that you may abound in hope."
That our hope is so abounding and overflowing
and even bubbling over
that it touches the lives of others.
The wonderful promise is that God will not just
touch you with His gift
but He will" fill you".

All this is not of our own creating
but it comes "through the power of the Holy Spirit".
It is God's gift to us
so it can only come through the Holy Spirit.

The joy and peace in believing
is our witness to a needy world
that is continually disappointed
in their hope of hopes.
