SEEDS FOR HARVESTING 7-34

John 6:63a

"It is the Spirit who gives life, the flesh profits nothing". (NASB)

The Living Word always clearly separates
the difference between our walk with Jesus
and the demands of our flesh.
It is difficult for us to separate the two.

In fact the Living Word declares that
it is the Holy Spirit
who give us this special "life'.
Jesus promises that the Spirit will
"teach you all things".

Our bodies tells us
that we need sustenance to live.
But the Word says that the Spirit
gives us Godly life
In fact "the flesh profits us nothing".

The moment we step out of our beds each morning
the demands of the flesh are upon us.
This is how we are made.

But the joy of being guided by the Spirit
far outweighs the demands of the flesh.

The promise of eternally living with Jesus
cancels out all that the flesh can offer us.
Jesus' promise to us is that
"I have come that you might have life
and have it in all its fullness".
