SEEDS FOR HARVESTING 8/11

John 14:5
"Lord, we do not know where you are going,
how can we know the way?"

Jesus had already told them
where he was going.
Death on a cross
and after three days,
resurrection and ascension.

Here we face
the ongoing problem for us all.
Jesus' spoken words are earthly words
with a spiritual meaning.

The next words of Jesus were
"I am the way".
The way ahead for us is Jesus' way.
Jesus knows what God's plan for us is
and the Holy Spirit is waiting
to reveal it to us.
Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth and the life".

"How do we know the way?"
How often have we asked this question?
The Holy Spirit supplies us
with all we need for today.
We must always trust Jesus
for the tomorrows.

We should not expect
a more complete answer
to Thomas' question than this.

Paul wrote
"Christ will made his home in your hearts
as you trust in him."
