SEEDS FOR HARVESTING 7-24

John 17:11
"You have given them back to me,
so they are my glory"

The priestly prayer of Jesus,
in the Upper Room,
pulses with the heartbeat of the Father, Son
and the Holy Spirit.
This statement fills us
with the sense of Jesus' glory
as we hear his words about us
"they are My glory,"

That glory is reflected in Jesus' words
"You have given them back to Me."
Our life-beat begins and ends in Jesus
as he "sits at the right hand of God
interceding for us."

So often we allow that cycle to be broken
by the demands of our self-will and sin.
But Jesus has promised to
never leave us or forsake us.

He fulfils that prophecy with his words
"You have given them back to Me."
and indicated this fact in words
He spoke earlier in his ministry when he said,
"Greater love has no man than this
than one should lay down
his life for his friends."

This knowledge surpasses
all our understanding.
It can only have been spoken by God's Son
to God the Father,
and recorded for our enrichment.
