Ps 63:3
"Your unfailing love is better to me than life itself.
How I praise you."

Our most cherished possession in life
should always reflect
the presence of God within us.
It is our recognition
of God's "unfailing love"
that brings praise to our lips and hearts.

The presence of God within us
should remind us
of friendships so strong
that they reflect God's
faithfulness to us;
of happiness so deep
that it reflects God's gift of joy.

But above all
we can, and must, completely rely on
God's "unfailing love"
through each moment of each day.
It is better than life itself.

Because God's love is always present
in our daily lives,
it can deal with our anger,
disappointments,
and our frustrations with others,
even our sin.

Because it is always present,
it gives us that inner peace
that we crave
when we feel lost and forlorn.
Always God gives of himself
when he shares his unfailing love with us.
