SEEDS FOR HARVESTING 5/28
John 1:14
"And the Word became flesh and dwelt amongst us,
and we beheld His glory".
Even though these words are John's words,
they mean so much to me.
These words are clothed with the mystery of creation,
"the Word was with God"...
Then become real for us,
"became flesh and dwelt amongst us".
The birth of a Baby bridged that gap,
as do the words "and we beheld His glory".
that Word has become the Living Word,
through the revelation of the scriptures.
Jesus made a promised to His Father,
"the glory Thou hast given me,
I have given to them" (John 17:22)
So Peter can write for us:
"You greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory".
This sense of glory should outshine every other human experience.
It always should be before us, so that we "behold" it.
It should always be a living hope,
as well as a future experience.
So that we not only walk by faith, but also with glory.
Even in our everyday events,
our moments can be tinged with glory,
and we can say with conviction;
"this is of God"
