SEEDS FOR HARVESTING 5/6
John 6:63
"The words that I speak to you they are Spirit and life."

For us, these words of Jesus,
are earthly words with a heavenly meaning.
They reveal the eternal nature of God.

Are they simply words
that Jesus spoke two thousand years ago
or do they really speak to our hearts
and minds here and now?
The words "that I speak to you"
are they recording an historical event
that happened two thousand years age?
Or have they become the Living Word for us now?

God is a God of history and also the God who speaks to us
in every situation in our lives.
Jesus means this when He says
"they are Spirit and life."

These words come from Jesus
the Alpha and the Omega.
He was, and is timeless and creatively exists
in God's time and in ours.
When He said, "I and the Father are one"
He bridged this gap for us.
How hard can it be to acknowledge the Spirit
in the printed word we read?

What joy that our life is now timeless also;
that our earthly lives can be impregnated
with the timelessness of God.
