SEEDS FOR HARVESTING 5/24
Jeremiah 29:13
"You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart."
We cannot reason our way into the God's kingdom.
We cannot argue with God for a place in His kingdom.
Yes, God so made us to reason with our minds
and to plan the way ahead,
but when it comes to entering His kingdom
that can only happen when "you seek Me with all your heart".
It was John Wesley who described his change
from being a priest
to being a servant of the Holy Spirit
with the words "I felt my heart strangely warmed."
What does it mean to "seek Me with all your heart?"
Does God dwell only in our minds?
Jesus said that you must
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart,
and with all your soul,
and with all your mind."
Our minds help us to understand how much God loves us,
but it's only our hearts that can feel and sense God's love for us.
Jesus criticised the disciples with these words,
"having eyes do you not see?
And having ears do you not hear?
Do you have hardened hearts?"
We need to see and hear God's Living Word
with spiritual eyes and ears.
Paul says
"the Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirits
that we are children of God."
