In the June 2010 edition of ACCatalyst Michael Earl from Wesley Mission in Sydney examines why we can have hope—resurrection hope—when things appear bleak and tough. Without giving too much away, Michael finds hope in changed lives of people touched by the good news in his local congregation. That theme is taken up with an expanded ACCatalyst local church section of reports which feature ACC parishes hard at work. Evangelising fruit pickers at Merrigum, praise services in North Queensland, and how one local church at St George in Queensland faced the flood all go to show how ACCers are local heroes, or just normal Christians being about their master’s calling.
